Allowing Notifications on your Device

Allowing notifications will help you keep track of new activity happening in your course, such as new posts, comments, messages and when new units unlock. We always recommend having notifications enabled.

To allow notifications on your iPhone/iPad:

1. Open the 'Settings' app on your device
2. Tap 'Notifications'
3. Find and tap on 'Workshop'
4. Tap on the 'Allow Notifications' switch to give notification permission.

To allow notifications on your Android device:

1. Open the 'Settings' app on your device
2. Tap 'Apps and notifications' and then 'Notifications'
3. Under 'Recently sent', find 'Workshop'

Receiving Notifications

Have you received a notification, but now can't find it? If you receive a new notification and this pops up on your mobile/tablet screen, this is where you can find them in your course:

• A classmate's new post to your class – in the 'My Class' section
• A new reply to your post or comment – In your 'Inbox' or on the post in your 'My Class' section
• A new message in your 'Class Discussion' group chat or private message – In your 'Inbox' or in your 'My Class' section

Managing Notifications

Don't want to receive notifications for everything? Customise what notifications you receive by heading to your Workshop app 'Settings' > 'Manage Notifications' and toggle which notifications you would like to receive.
