Taking portrait and landscape photos will help your workshop look great on the app, and will help us promote you across the web so that we can get as many people keen to do your workshop as possible!
We understand that not everyone is a world-class photographer, so here are some tips on how to make your photos look great if you’re using a smartphone or are new to photography:
- Consistency is key – Every photo you take for your workshop should follow a consistent style – take a look at some images you like and decide on a specific style before taking any photos.
- Think before you zoom – Using the digital zoom on your smartphone will result in a lower resolution image, however it can sometimes be useful to reduce distortion when taking pictures up close.
- Clean your lens – Wipe away any dust or smudges on your phone camera to get a clear image.
- Natural light is best – Great lighting is even more important when taking still photos than it is for filming—these photos will probably be the first thing someone sees before they buy your workshop! Try taking your photos next to a window or in a well-lit part of the room to maximise your subject’s exposure to natural light.
